Sensory Memories

I am in Ohio-
I see huge beautiful evergreens
that smell like long summer days
and Christmas at the same time-
the snow and cold
bite my cheeks,
freeze my nostrils,
burn my toes and fingers
from throwing too many snowballs
and ice skating in the dark-
the voices in the hospital halls
make me a teenager
visiting my grandmother
right before she died-
the food tastes like
I am a ravenous
member of a swim team
or a track sprinter
after a meet-
I am home-

This is a very nice verse.

It looks like you've been having a lot of fun with birthdays and new hair!

Hey Sissy,
I feel the same when I go to Ohio---I am HOME! Give Dad a hug for me. Love you
