Skywatch My presidential delay:)

I took this sunset shot while waiting for my flight home from Ohio it was delayed  an hour because of the rest of the pictures on this page that I DID NOT take.....  I wish I could have seen all the hoopla but I did not know about it till after it was all over...... my question is if the President was home at the white House at 4:35pm  why were we  delayed till after 7:00pm to take off?  Not mad just wondering? Again the pictures and words below are NOT MINE but copied from http://blogs.suntimes.com/sweet/2011/02/president_obama_official_sched_541.html
It isn’t until the 747 is right on top of you that you understand the size of the plane. Air Force One measures 63-feet tall and 232-feet long with a wingspan of 195 feet, with 4,000 square feet of space on three levels. For comparison, The White House is actually smaller in size than Air Force One.

Awesome, and yet not that you had to wait, but the reason why... awesome.

How opportune that you were able to catch such a spectacular sunset while on your way home. Airports can be such tough places to shoot...you make it look easy.

I've always wanted to see Air Force One for real. What an impressive piece of aviation achievement.
