ER trip

Well yesterday we had a lot to do we went early 7:30ish over to my Mom's new place to make it look homey for when we moved her in later in the day. My sister J had already done some after we moved all her belongings in the other day so it did not take long. Then I found her a new lamp shade at a Garage sale.
We then went home to dress for a funeral, we just made it before it started, because we were waiting for Z to finish a mowing job, but we did make it. The funeral was very nice, a family lost their Dad at age 50. The children all spoke about his kindness and positive attitude and amazingly his wife was able to sing "Each Life that Touches Ours For Good" and did an awesome job. Afterwards, before we were to finish moving my Mom, we were visiting w/ old friends you only seem to see at weddings and funerals for about 40 minutes.

All the sudden my always patient DH hubby gave me the wrap it up sign and pointed out the door.... this never happens so I knew someting important was up. I thought someone had called and something happened to my Mom but no .... he was having chest pains and had been for 1/2 an hour.. I got that someone punched me in the stomach momentary reaction-- then swiftly into emergency mode --Z, you drive ,-- how bad is it?,--- I don't know---Bad enough for a never complainer to mention it--- the hospital is only a mile away,-- lets go--- , does it hurt to breathe? ---yes---how is your arm?-- it is OK---in the ER they rush you right into Triage-- and the EKG is intantaneous-- after they report that it is OK we were somewhat relieved. Then they tested for the next 2-3 hours .. heart enzymes.. chest xrays.. blood tests.... No heart attack, no blood clots, no panic attack, no blood disorders, no boken ribs.... pretty healthy guy for having a bad pain in the chest

They determined by process of elimination that it was Pleurisy a very painful inflamation of the lining of the lungs. Relief!!! He had had this once a long time ago and recovered, so take it easy and he will eventually recover but it hurts a lot for a longish time I love him dearly and was so releived, but that coupled w/the funeral re-confirmed to me.. . I want him around for a very, very, long time --like for eternity.

Handsome man, he always smiles even in pain. (taken w/my cellphone)

What a great sport! My hubby would've never let me post a pic of him in the lovely hospital attire;)

So glad he okay. Amazed that the wife got through that song. I led the song at my uncles funeral in June and cried the entire time. I am sure I could never sing it solo.

Oh my, you made me cry. I am so glad it is all ok. I just hate scares like that. Life is fragile.

Wow. I had no idea. I'm glad everything turned out okay in the end. How funny that you took a picture of him in the ER. D would have killed me if I pulled a stunt like that. ;o)

I'm sorry you had to experience that stress--both of you! I'm glad all is well! Keep it that way, okay?
