Classical Feeling

Reading the Classics are a favorite and big part of my life and always have been. I love the old friends I have in them. I open this particular group .

for a surprise ending........ TA DA!!.. I love the look of my CD holder

.....

and listen to some other favorites that are classics too. I like almost all types of music but gained a huge appreciation of classical music in my college Humanities classes. I then remembered them from cartoons, I used to watch as a kid,---- since they have such happy memories from college and my youth.. I love them still. When our children were small. I needed a break often, once a month, for our date night we would go to the FT Worth Symphony:> Lots of good memories there.... except.... sometimes.... when you are so tired from a busy Sat of Soccer, Football, yard work ,grocery shopping. and life...then go sit in a dark room, in comfortable seats, and listen to beautiful music, you tend to.... fall asleep we used to tease each other about getting that"classical feeling" which was so relaxing.

Theme: Classic | Next week: Flexible
Classic 50's mode of dress, on classic old truck, my mom is center.

Nice cd holder! I grew up with my dad playing classical music on the record player all the time and I play it to my kids too.

Excellent interpretation of this week's theme. It's been a long time since I read one of the great classics. Thomas Hardy is my favourite. Have a great weekend!

Great job with the classic theme. I love classic books and music and the picture with your mother in the center is a great classic shot from the 1950s. I hope you have a pleasant weekend.

Great classics for this week! :-)

Happy Weekend.

At least you said "classic" and not "old." We were looking at some cars a few weeks ago, and one a friend had when I was in high school is now considered an antique. Whew. What a way to make a gal feel old!

Hello, Thanks for coming over for a visit. (Pfaff) yes I sew classic clothing and quilts and utilitarian stuff for the home as well. My old classic gets lots of us.
You have a nice place hear I think I'll hang around. I too love the classical sounds found at the symphony. Your books are prestigious!

Classic books, love the way their covers look.

It's great to know people still enjoy a good book no matter when they were written.
