Photohunt Wooden Amish baskets

I love these wooden Amish baskets I bought from some sweet people selling them in Millersburg, Ohio over several visits. They are not cheap, should outlive me they are so strong and so well handmade. Each basket is signed and it amazes me

I think these are the basket makers signatures but look at the ages and years

This work is amazing and awesome for the ages listed

This one took a whole family

It is my favorite --to carry casseroles or picnics (i scratched it putting it in the overhead bin in the airplane flying home) but It still is fun to deliver food in it.

I love your baskets. I forgot them when I was looking for something wooden.
I have a Longaberger picnic basket I've had for years, recently broke hinge so need it repaired. I have a couple of Amish ones. One from Ohio and one from Tennessee. I have two basket made in Charleston by the African Ameriacans there and a couple of White Oak ones made here in the South. You're right, they will outlast us. I am going to have to think about who to leave them to in my will.
I imagine the youngsters start doing this heritage skill when they are very small.

I live in Millersburg. I find it amazing I have met someone in cyberville who knows where Millersburg, Ohio is! What a hoot. And yes, your baskets are very well made. Our Amish neighbors do a wonderful job in making almost anything. I also wanted to tell you - YOU'RE IT - you have been tagged, please stop by and check out the rules.

Wow, those are fantastic. Signed and everything. Truly a great purchase and now they can become an heirloom.
