It is oft said everything is bigger in Texas, It is also said there is truth in advertising-- I am not sure that either of those is true all the time.-- and this post will prove both these things one way or another.
1. This is one big Texas Smile-- apparently we really are happy about our BBQ here in Texas. &
2. Does Uncle Sam sell cars in your town?
3. I didn't pawn my covered wagon .Did you?
4. Does water from a mill seem fresher and cleaner to you?
5.I wonder if that is the loaner when you bring in yours for repair, and if so does it only vacuum bull's eyes?
6. Do metal palm trees attract you to stay in this motel?
7. The Texas flag is used A LOT here in Ft Worth
8.Does this beef look a little tough to you?
9. If I found this horse in my hotel room I would be terrified
<
10 What a novel idea (just like the Steak house around the corner)
lets put a big cow on top of our sign:>
11.Now that shes welcomed you all to America she has to ask for all your tax dollars.
12. But i do wonder what this arrow with the crazy hair cut knows about taxes -- must have something to do w/ the green
13. This sign makes me hope there are two of every antique inside
Bonus: these two guys look they know a thing or two about mufflers-- I might be tempted to buy one from them
And this one I took at peril to my life-- stopping on a very busy street and could have been very expensive as they wanted to make me buy a car for taking a picture :> But I zoomed away as the man was loudly trying to convince me in Spanish -- The irony was not lost on me.She has welcomed all to our country.

When I saw the "13 Icons" I just knew we were going to be presented with some pathetically charming religious mush - but I love it!

These are a hoot and a holler, said the Native Texan! Happy TT.
really fun collection of photos
You've definitely got some interesting things in Texas... don't think I could find all of these things in DC. Maybe.
Great post...I love this kind of stuff!
Very fun!
And they say that America has become horribly the same... you've proved that wrong!
Gosh.... Texas... wow. I have seen the green guy with the black hair. I always wonder why that is supposed to make me trust them... I mean really!
Congratulations on your workout stats. They are quite impressive!
Happy TT!
My TT is about my trip to the Haunted Hotel.
Very funny.
I recently did a TT about 13 places I've visited and Texas was one of them. I LOVE Texas because it is so big!! This was a great TT! Very funny and so true!
We have a horse just like that outside one of our local stores. Happy TT. Thanks for stopping by.
No wonder Texans are so tough. Its all the metal animals they eat. It would explain their metal muffler heads too.
Well its number 68 for me this week. I answer 13 More Questions from the 100 Question Meme. Stop by if you get a chance.
This was a lot of fun! I'd be scared of a horse in my room, too!
Spam warning :)
Would you like to join my weekly meme called Heads Or Tails? It's played on Tuesdays but I post mine on Monday nights so the early birds can sign in. It's a lot of fun and is growing fast.. The last one had 53 people playing!
You can check my right sidebar for weekly theme/prompts and links to the rules and such. This is a really good time to join too because I'm having a contest through the end of the month for players who join the notify list. :)
Large plaster and steel farm animals have always been a little disturbing to me. *grin*
Great pictures though! :)

Oh, these are great! I need to remember to take my camera around more often.
Kansas City likes to use the cows and steers on top of their steakhouses as well!
What interesting pictures! Thanks for sharing!
These are great! I love the cows and horses on the buildings. We don't get that here in Oregon. Maybe it really is a Texas big-sign thing.
LOL - I lived in Texas for a few years. I swear I've seen some of those!
Nice TT. But, I think the #10 COW is actually a steer. :)
What a fun post.I will be more on the look out for things like that in my town
Love Shawny
Fun list! Texan's do it big!!
Love the theme and the photos.....remind me of a few we have here in WI.

The horse on the balcony is my favorite. Wonderful idea for a T13!
Love those photos, Marcia. It seems exciting where you live with all those signs!
Hope the remainder of the week would be great! :)
WOW! Texas does things in a big way. Those are great. one day i hope to get there and see Texas for myself
Nice photos. I wonder how the horse got on the balcony and why it was placed there.
I don't think that looking at a cow makes me want to *eat* cow.
Also, that metal tree place will give you free cabple, coffee, and a pool. Anything more than that is just plain greedy. ;)
These are just great.. I must make the timeto call back here and view each and every one of them...
Thanks for putting in the time on this post..
hehe this is a fun post, you must have had a great time capturing all these!
Great job - it must have taken ages to get it done! :)
Thanks for visiting my blog for WW. Hope to see you again! :)
