Thursday Thirteen #48 I know you want a pair of Daisy pants

I was scanning in some pictures and the scanner quit working:( so I tried taking

pictures of pictures and they did not do so well...does any one have some

pointers?.... I do stand directly over them, I tried Indoor light, outdoor, flash ,no flash...

I have a birthday this week so here are 13 pics of my life-- did you have any of these clothes?

Early life through college

1.very young-- like maybe 3 -- my childhood is very blurry, isn't it?

2. I think I am 11 -- Don't you LOVE those Daisy pants?

3.A freshman in HS -- my mom loved my hair that way:(

4.My brother and I--- my junior year---- in the musical Oklahoma--- he was the star*

--I was a dancer and in the chorus

5 My senior picture... I know just a little too Cute

6.Fresh in college as a freshman don't you wish you had that cowl neck sweater?

7. W/ my brother and sister the same year -- I think we look like young business professionals ---we were not:)

8.Skiing in Utah--- I look so skilled --I left out the one on my backside:(

9.I Cut out the old boyfriend he was so funny but kind of the could be a bad boy type:)

10.Right around the time I fell in love w/ my Hubby-- Life was as rosy as my sweater

11.hiking in the mountains --I have a shirt just like this today

12. I loved this coat

The day I introduced my soon to be fiance to my siblings -- I think I got the shirt at the circus

Today my friend the stylist did my hair for a Birthday gift she is so nice.

That's a nice walk through the years ! I like your new haircut !
I always do pictures of pictures then sharpen and correct the colors with Picasa. It comes out better than with a scan. Just download Picasa, it's free.

One gorgeous smile!! I love your very first one, blurry childhood or not!! And the ski trip...and then the last one.

Happy birthday!!

My 13 movie stills is shared for T-13 this week. Come by if you can.

Always a beautiful smile! Aside from photographing the photos, I don't know what to suggest. If you have a lot of negatives, you could use scancafe dot com. They do an excellent job of converting to digital and are affordable. Good luck.

They came out pretty good. Isn't it funny how we remember past events by the clothes we were wearing. Hot good we thought we looked when it doesn't always seem that way now? I do love the daisy pants. They bring back memories.

Hey--another birthday! Thanks for coming by my blog and wishing my daughter a great birthday.

I love the photos. Sometimes I wonder what we were thinking with some of our hair and clothing choices!

And I am *not* saying that your pictures look like these...but you have to check out this blog with the list of "fab" Olan Mills pictures: http://listoftheday.blogspot.com/2007/09/great-olan-mills-photos.html

Happy Birthday!

The photo memories was a great idea for a TT. And isn't it funny how we can identify the century by the clothing? ;-)

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy birthday! I didn't have daisy pants, though I'd probably have loved them. I did, however, have that hairstyle in #10. :)

I love your hairdo in the final snapshot. What a wonderful transformation. Happy TT and thanks for visiting me.

Nice pictures. You really look very different in the last one compared to all the rest.

We must be close in age. I never had a pair of daisy pants, but I had a daisy dress when I was about the same age as you in the daisy pants picture.

Thanks for visiting my TT!

Love your new do! I didn't have the Daisy pants, but I do recall quite a few mad plaids! Happy Birthday!

I'm at my day job right now, so I'll have to check for the daisy dress when I get home, but I remember it was my Easter dress that particular year, so I'm sure there's a picture somewhere. Whether or not I can find it is a whole different story.

Oh, and I'm 51. Happy birthday tomorrow! You are exactly 6 days older than my sister.

Very cute haircut! And all those pictures were great! I love the idea for the post, seeing you grow up in pictures, very neat idea!

I love this list because not only is it fun to see how people grew up, but you are so positive about everything. At least I think it's positive! I mean, all your comments about yourself and most of the things you say in general are nice :) I love the clown shirt! I would wear that! Also, I love your blog title. My new year's resolution last year was to bring more joy into my life. I should blog about that!

When I was 30 I had an article ready to go live that included snaps of myself from my christening shot through to 30. Unfortunately, I lost my hard drive and most of the scanned pics :: grumble ::

I must do that for myself when I am 40...or maybe 42. 42 seems a bit more exciting than being 40. ;)

I love these shots. It's like traveling through time. :)

Thanks for visiting my taxing TT. I have another one at Raven's Roads (http://www.ravensroads.com) if you've time.
