Happy Fathers day to all the fathers in my life and Inside out

I spoke in church today I had a ten minute talk about Fathers. I like it when I speak or teach I always get more out of it than anyone else. I talked a little about my Father, My Husband, and His Father.Teaching our children and Being taught by our children but mostly the love our Heavenly Father has for each of us. I was running a little late and rushed to dress and get out the door doing my makeup in the car (what's new?) But I got there and was collecting my thoughts during the song and the sacrament and I looked down right before I was to get up and speak and I saw my skirt was on inside out now it is a two layer reversible skirt so I had 3 chances.....to get it right-- but I got the third chance --- totally inside out. I had the flash of a thought!!! would any notice if I just slipped it off and back on correctly????.I have a slip on>>> So......right there on the stand while everyone was singing..................
I........ dismissed that thought as not quite appropriate anywhere at church, let alone on the stand in front of everyone. So I got up pretended my skirt was right side out and gave my talk. And actually, by the time I got to the podium I forgot to be embarrassed. So only the people I shared it w/ in the restroom know that I don't know how to dress myself or that my skirt does not have seams on the outside.. Oh noo I just had another Flash>>>!!!Am I that age already???

I had a really good thought during our RS lesson today. We were talking about HF and how he can see all of our potential. I realized that one of the things that I love the most about the Father's in my life (Richie, my Dad, and HF) are that they can all see what I cannot see and are always pushing me to reach my potential. And if my mortal dad can see so much inside of me, then how much can HF see inside of me. It was a pretty big eye opener for me. Happy Father's Day.

Marcia! I missed your talk! I know it was great. You are such a great speaker. Sorry about the skirt. I'm glad that you didn't decide to change it on the stand...they might have sent you to talk to a counselor in the Stake Presidency. Hee. Hee. I'm certain no one noticed! How funny though. Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to be back home.

do you realize when you blog and get flashes of thought, ideas that flow into you, that you are getting personal revelation for that person or yourself...i gave a high priest lesson and talked about how alive i feel when i blog and that we help each with flashes of intellect from our savior, or heavenly father, or the holy ghost

OH MY GOODNESS... I totally noticed your skirt but thought you were trying to force a new trend... JUST KIDDING... your talk was very good. Im glad that Haylee got her fit over with quick and we were able to come in and be sooo close to the front so that I could actually enjoy it. I love being a student in your class and love listening to your talks. You were my absoluet favorite seminary teacher and Im super jealous of the kids that get to have you now. I hope they know what a great teacher they are getting!!!
