I know we are all related to Noah but.......

Hi Blogging friends I have been unable to use my computer for 3 days now .... life looks a little Stormy right now

remember my beautiful new floors and all that painting I did less that a month ago?

Well it is gone! all of it.....and then some Wednesday I came home @ 6 pm to find my entire first floor flooded!!! I know some people have it so much worse.. but.... I am just sad and frustrated. We had a wonderful experience last week and have not been home but 3 days and this happens?

We are living like this till it dries out I hope it is soon they say maybe Monday or Tuesday

The recovery company came and helped us clean up we had already been working for 4 hours when they got here what a relief to see them but---they tore up my floors I could not watch! They finished at 1:30 AM and we have 16 of those fans going 24 hrs a day-- It is loud to say the least It has been hard to teach my early morning class this week.

this innocent looking machine is the cause --the pitiful part is it has done it 2x before and given a clean bill of health by our trusty warranty repair man

WE are now working w/ two insurance agencies to see what can be done and will my home ever be the same?
I DO have faith the skies will be bright again soon:)

Oh, that is awful! I hope you'll be able to get everything sorted out and put new floors in again.

Oh my gosh. That is awful. I'd be shopping for a new washer if it were me. Hopefully you can get it all sorted out with the insurance!

Your sky photos are great! I feel so bad for you, after all you went through to make the floors so beautiful. I know it is very frustrating. My daughter and her family just had a remodel of their home and 6 weeks later it was flooded with almost 4' of water in it and ruined everything inside. It is really heart breaking, but just know things will come out for the best.

Awful about the flooding from that monster washer! But your sky pictures are lovely. Ya gotta have faith...

How awful, one of my horrors though I have never lived in an area prone to flooding.
I hope things improve rapidly - I am amazed you have found the time to tell us.
We will be thinking of you.

Ugh! But I think I see the silver lining to your black ugly clouds? Yes it is in the bottom photo and you did a wonderful job capturing it! Good luck with everything!

We have experienced it 2 years ago. With the same kind of machine!
More than ONE YEAR, before insurance gives us the money to start repairing.
One year, with a waving floor and some open-door-that-refused-to-close!!! Thanks, Insurance, for the quick answer to our problem. You were more rapid when it was time to sign our contract!
