Do you still buy Cookbooks?
I do and I wonder if others do ? if you do ---What draws you to it? --is it Unique recipes?
everyday recipes that are real?-- Low - cal? Desserts ? The Cover?
is it the Pictures ? Step by Step or just finished product?
QUICK AND EASY?
I am considering combining two of my 'things' and putting together a cook book What would make you take a second Glance ? do you have a recipe you would want in there? of your own? Old Family one ? one that is just
pretty? I need feed back on this one if you read this, please please (delurk:)) and give me your opinion :)

I"m always buying cook book, Marcia. Those that give recipe easy, not too much elaborated like French cooks propose sometimes, family recipes. I have a few book of Jamie Oliver, for instance. He gets "international" influences, and take the best of each country.
I must admit that sometimes, I take the liberty of changing some details about one recipe = I take the basis, and add my personal "touch". I love pictures...
I like a little bit of all of it.
I do like pictures, because sometimes that it was draws me to make something.
I like it to have some simple and some more complex.
I like trying new recipes.
I like the cover to be pretty too, I know that the cover really doesn't matter, but hey... I like "pretty" things!
simple easy delicious recipes get my attention. I love the pictures too. I love cook books. I have too many!
Food network is a fav. of mine.
My two favorite cookbooks are one with only cookie recipes and one with simple meals you can make in 30 minutes or less. What drew me to the cookie one was the beautiful pictures, everything looked so yummy I had to buy it. What drew me to the other one is I looked through and thought "Wow, I really could make these pretty fast". I think pictures are a must. If I see a cook book that has a really pretty picture on the cover I will pick it up and browse through it.
I used to buy a lot of cookbooks. I actually have a extensive collection. I like things that are differen and unique. I usually stick straight to the recipe because when I do venture it turns out really bad.
Hi!
I like cookbooks. Have a few around here. I like simple home cooking recipes and have to have a photo of the dish. Makes it so much simpler than trying to figure out if you did it right. Have a great day!!

Lately I will buy those little magazine-like booklets at the supermarket checkout, that have low calorie and / or low fat recipes. I rarely buy a whole book.

Don't cook, Marcia. I bake and love it, though. Love recipes friend give me.
Great photos.
Great shots...so we are going to your house for dinner then?? Happy WW:)
I buy cookbooks because it's a lot easier for me to open up a cookbook then think of something to research online.
Actually I can't recall the last time I picked up a cookbook. I've been finding recipes online these days. I guess that's the reason I'm a internet addict!! :P
Yes!! I love cookbooks... I used to look at the web... but there is so many ads now, and much easier to peruse my cookbook!
I like cookbooks that have pictures (so I can see if I made the recipe correctly) and cookbooks that have easy but also yummy recipes.
