Before I became a mother the first time I thought well I think this is going to be so fun to be a Mom,... how hard can it be??
When they were all babies I realized wow this is pretty hard I wish I had more hands...
“The mother-child relationship is paradoxical and, in a sense, tragic. It requires the most intense love on the mother's side, yet this very love must help the child grow away from the mother, and to become fully independent.”
As they grew I thought this is so fun I wish I had more time.
I am thankful for the Mothers in my life for giving me life..
"I don't care how poor a man is; if he has family, he's rich." ~Dan Wilcox and Thad Mumford,
For enriching my life My dear MIL who has been gone now over ten years was my best friend and taught me so much...
A mother's love is patient and forgiving when all others are forsaking, it never fails or falters, even though the heart is breaking” Helen Rice
Now as the Mom I am today to 4 adult Children.. I did not learn it all--- or have all the answers ---- it was not easy, it still is so fun, I didn't ever have enough hands or time--but my heart grew and grew and grew and grew bigger than I ever could have imagined. Through countless, constant prayers & the blessings of a loving father In heaven I have learned----
“There is no way to be a perfect mother, and a million ways to be a good one”Jill Churchill (and Children are forgiving and resilient.)MLV

I love this post! Have a great Day!!!
That first quote reminds me of when Ginney got married and a week later I headed off to BYU. Apparently, my momma was crying about it or something, and Grandpa Amon said to my mom, "What are you crying about, this is what you raised them to do." It makes me want to be a better mom so that they will have an independence that will lead them on a straight and narrow path back to Heavenly Father. Anyways, as always, I loved this post.
What a beautiful post, Marcia. That first quote makes me want to cry when I think of my babies leaving home. Hopefully I can teach them all they need to know before then. I loved what you said about never having enough time or hands, but that your heart grew and grew. Happy Mother's Day!
I luv the quotes.. especially the one about there is no perfect mother just a million ways to be a good one.
Nice post. Having a mother is wonderful, being a mother can be heartwrenching, delightful, frustrating and sleep depriving, but being a grandmother is just plain wonderful.
You look so beautiful in the pic with you and B! I love you and your family!
