Courage Honor Duty Vigilance

Ruby Tuesday
My world

Those who know me may know several reasons why this post is poignant for me

This is a memorial outside a firehouse in Ft Worth

One is obvious for the word in the window - we have had several friends and Family members who were fireman including my Dad, for a short time. and our house caught fire when I was a small child

Like most memorials they provide respite for birds:)(which I also enjoy

They cause us to pause, reflect, and appreciate posssibly even try to put ourselves in their shoes

This memorial was just a little sad and made me feel very grateful to all firefighters: friends and unknown who have been vigilant, and had the courage to do their duty with honor- Thank you

What a powerful memorial. We all sleep better at night for having the men and women who wear those boots watching over us.

Firemen are my favorite people - why are most of them so good looking? They really do risk their lives every day. Lovely memorial.

Very moving photos and it does make you stop and pray for those who risk their lives for us daily.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and that flower you asked about is from a Powder Puff tree.

that is a poignant memorial

I remember after 9/11 someone described NYC firefighters as "the kind of person who runs into a building that everyone else is running out of"

bless them all!!

I always admire the firemen's courage. I think, their job is really not easy. That's really a unique memorial and quite nice too.
