Peach Festival My WOrld

visit more My WOrld Posts and Ruby Tuesday

Saturday we went to wonderful
Weatherford for the Annual Peach Festival

It was the first time we actually went and it was necessary for us to
try some peach Cobbler

and homemade ice cream both of which were yummy

though it was not necessary for us to try the funnel cakes

or ribbon fries.... it was too hot ....so we didn't

but lots of folks did

they had many arts and crafts

she was only about 10 inches tall

a bounce village for the kids

a popular spot for the kiddos was in the splash zone of the dunking booth

they got cooled off as people dunked a bank loan officer dressed as Sponge Bob

We saw interesting people prepared for the 100 degree temps

I think these two dressed as bacon and eggs, carried the
water guns so they didn't fry on the pavement

this fellow looks unreal to me, He made balloon figures for kids.
How he didn't sweat the make up off? I do not know.

It was a fun festival

Terrific shots! Was like being back in Weatherford again! Haven't been there in a long time, but your photos surely transported me even if it was to a fair! What fun! Love the costumes! Have a great week!

I kind of like the balloon longhorns on the cowboy clown. It's original, anyway! All the food and activities looke great.

If you're going to have 100 degree weather, you might as well console yourself with peaches. That ice cream looks yummy and so does the cobbler. Nothing like summer and its fresh fruit.

What a fun looking festival. I haven't had funnel cake in years. I'd be hard-pressed to choose between that and the peach ice cream though. Can I have both? Please? Pretty please?

It figures that you would come to my town when I'm not here! lol I was in Florida, picking up my oldest granddaughter. I sure hated to miss the Peach Festival, though. Glad you got to enjoy it! The pictures look wonderful!

What a fun day and those peaches look very tempting !!!

I had funnel cake for the first time, a couple of years ago. It was loaded with cream and strawberries ...looked and tasted delicious, but had me feeling a little sick after the first couple of mouthfuls. Bit too fatty and rich. I've also decided it is not neccasary for me to repeat the performance :-)

However, peach cobbler and homemade icecream would be a different story entirely !!

Very cool photos !!

What awesome pictures capturing the fun festival.

I have a thing for peaches..It's one of son's nick name.. He came out looking like a peach..the name has stuck..

You always take such awesome pictures. I might have to join in one day and do some of these challenges.

That looked like a lot of fun. I did hear that Texas and Oklahoma were having really record breaking temps. I remember one of those 107 hot days and the electricity went out... when it came back on an hour later, it blew up my air conditioners compressor... woe!!!! My flying rubies are here.
