My World" and Ruby Tuesday

I collect Nativities and was asked this year to put my collection in a community display it was a wonderful 3 day event peppered w/ musical performances and thousands of Nativities to look at all these maybe overwhelming so just enjoy one or two that pop out to you
this was one third of my room of nativities I displayed

I have between 75 and 80 nativities in my collection at one point we had over an hundred .. some I gave to others some broke.:( Most of my collection are from generous gifts --I had to tell my family and friends We :)now we only actively collect ones from different countries or we wold have to move :)to a warehouse to store them:)

I so enjoyed all the other peoples ...

Very cool. I so wanted to take my kids this year, but it didn't work out scheduling-wise. I am grateful for all your pictures. So beautiful.

These are all beautiful nativities. The traditional are all nice, but my favorite was the bamboo display. Such loving workmanship, the artistry keeps me loking. What a marvelous display!

These are absolutely wonderful. A few years ago the Knights of Columbus Museum in New Haven, CT, presented a show of nativities from around the world, and it was stunning and beautiful, like this. Thank you.

Those are all so different and beautiful. I really like the plain white one with the curving shapes.

Hi JIMG, your nativities are beautiful. So are those other ones.

We attended a funeral last week at Tallowood Baptist Church in Houston. In their connecting room (offices to/from sanctuary) they had numerous cases with several nativity scenes on each shelf. They all were sooooo nice.

Happy RT! :-)
..
BTW, our favorite is one with six inch +/- figures that we selected in Bethlehem. We have sereral more but the wooden one from Israel is our fave.
Mary, Joseph, and the manger with Jesus stay up all year long.

I loved all the beautiful nativities. I have quite a few myself, but not near as many as you.

I love them all Marcia; Each of them gets its own style. I undertsand why you can't resist to a new one. When I was young, we could buy ech character individually at the store. Nowadays, iy's so difficult to find some, we have to buy them in particular stores, specialised. That's what they've done to Christmas, a big commercial celebration, and we lose the true topic of that celebration, in fact. Glad you remain faithfull to the original meaning, Marcia.
