I do love this restaurant It is so beautiful and wanted to revisit it I went 10-12 years ago.this is not my review below but when I found it I thought I would use it since it is so correct

I love the Cafe des Artistes. I discovered it a couple of years ago, and it is one of the few places in New York that does not feel like that cookie cutter nouveau riche kind of place. The food is amazing, the chef was on Top Chef I always take out of towners here because it is the kind of place you cannot find anywhere else."

This man, the proprietor George Lang, happened to be there and came up and said "The Met called and wants to speak w/you" (We have some very accomplished singers in the family)he was so gracious and spent a few moments speaking to us and wishing me a happy birthday- What a treat!
