Road trip

Great weather for a road trip (don't you think the numbers should be red?)

to take these guys homeI followed this reddish brown truck for a LONG time in a traffic jam and for some reason it made me excited for fall football i saw lots of these and these so i stopped on my way back to try and be creative but it was just too hot

Pioneer Day Celebration

I went to my sisters ward activity to recognize the pioneer way of life and have fun while doing so. There was a woman demonstrating spinning yarn it was fascinating--

the children all had fun eating breakfast, running, and playing games.  (This is a grand nephew and nephew)they were excited to win prizes 

for winning in games like cricket tossIt was so surprising to see how fun the laundry game was the concentration

   (I should have brought my towels)                                                                           and the stick pull game was the favorite ---my nephew was running it --and he challengedmy sister and me to try-- I love competition-- all in good fun till someone gets hurtI felt so bad --my back hurt too -- can we blame my nephew for the challenge?

red light

I live in an area that if you don't use the Highway when you are headed East you have to cross railroad tracks. We used to have to do it 4 times a day from 96-08 now all my kids are out of MS/HS I am glad that those daily treks on the tracks are past but or some reason I like this shot -- not sure why- maybe nostalgia for those days:)

but while waiting for one train -- then another last week--we were first
in line so we took some pictures
I snapped shots of the light as it blinked first one side


then the other ..and snapped and snapped

till I got this coveted shot of both lights on
at once we never saw it w/ our eyes
but the camera's eye is so tricky quick
it caught it

( I know I am so easily amused sometimes:)
