Patriotic cake


My extended Family always asks for therecipe for this cake. It is way too simple
Patriotic Cake
one strawberry cake mix baked as usual
1 can strawberry pie filling
1 quart strawberries
1/2cup blueberries
one pint cool whip
Make one strawberry cake mix in 2 8 or 9 inch round cake pans.
take on separate plates to the place you are going to serve because it does not travel well when assembled. Place first cake on cake plate, pour canned strawberry pie filling on top, carefully cover w/ top cake layer, clear edges of pie filling, frost whole cake w/ cool whip.
Wash , hull and cut in half one quart strawberries, dry, place on bottom and top edge as shownand make a design w/ blueberries enjoy:)
