I, like you, have probably used the words Lazy and slothful interchangeably
;If you look la·zy up in the dictionary, one of the things it says is
2. Slow-moving; sluggish: .
3. Conducive to idleness or indolence:.
and if you look up Sloth it says
1. Aversion to work or exertion; laziness; indolence.
2. Any of various slow-moving, arboreal, edentate mammals of the family having long hook like claws by which they hang upside down from tree branches and feeding on leaves, buds, and fruits, especially:
a. having three long-clawed toes on each forefoot.
*
So, yes, they are similar but this sloth for me is defined = cute, cute, cute,
I think the sloth can't read the sign... then again it says for us not to touch..
She wanted to reach out and touch all of of us
esp B, my daughter, but it took like 3 minutes to reach towards her!!
I have never seen a living creature move so slowly in all my life, it was very fascinating to watch.
Everyone had to take a long pause and just watch this peaceful creature

Oh gosh, what is that??! Looks a bit scary :P
Let's enjoy a lazy weekend :)
Great photos, I'll bet most of us have not seen a sloth and interacted with one like that. Happy weekend Marcia.
Great sequence of lovely shots.
Happy weekend!
Oh that's simply gorgeous. You are the only one to have a sloth as your focus this week - I think that is SO clever! :)
Aww they have such cute faces. I have never seen a sloth close up like that I would love to. Happy weekend
Wonderful!! I have never seen a sloth before!
Happy lazy weekend :)
I am another who has never seen a sloth before or I don't think I have. What a precious animal. Great post. I definitely use sloth and lazy interchangeably. Glad you gave us the definitions.
What great photos! They are such a cute creature :)
That is perfect for this theme, and how cool that you had that experience. :)
Blessings!
Great shots! How is that "touching" part enforced though? You are not permitted to touch the sloth, but the sloth is permitted to touch you? LOL. Great contribution. Thanks for sharing!
look at those nails!
First time I see a sloth. He's fascinating.
That is truly amazing!!!!
How cool is that. The nails on that thing are a little scary though.
Thanks for stopping by
Love the series of pics! And enjoyed the attached comments!
Great pictures! In the first, I thought it was a human child dressed up in a halloween costume!!!
That's extraordinary - a permanent smile... but how slothful can you get.
Those are spectacular photos! I have never seen a sloth, besides up in a tree behind glass. Neato!
I did Photo Hunters today, too! If you have time, pay me a visit and leave your link. :)

How wonderful for your little girl. Oh my I saw North Texas in your profile.
I am originally from Dallas and we now reside just inside the Oklahoma line on the lake.
So howdy neighbor:-)
Great shots! Yup, a sloth would be considered lazy.
Wow! Excellent entry! I've never even seen a sloth before this. And before this, I never would've imagined them as active as that. Thanks for sharing this! :)
What a cute and precious creature! Great take on the theme. Thanks for visiting mine and have a nice weekend!
