Tied and buckled (photohunt)

I wonder how much time is invested in getting these boots
on or the whole uniform and then the horse tack as well

It seems to me they work hard to get ready to go out
and work even harder.

Great idea for the theme. It is mind boggling to think how much time it took for them to get into full gear. I used to have some knee high lace up boots and they were a pain.

I played too :)

Very good take on the theme.

It does look like a long time to get outfitted for the job. I do like the close up detail. Good job hunting.

Quite a while, I bet, but they need every bit of it, right down to the blanket.

What fancy looking boots. I wonder if they sell those to civilians, I think they'd look great with skinny jeans and a long tank top!

BTW My PhotoHunt entry is up, hope you can drop by!

Hi Marcia,
I just sent you an e-mail. Thank you for visiting and commenting on my "tied" post.
Your take on this theme is marvelous!
I never got to take riding lessons as a child, but I plan to give it a try when I get the time, inspite of my age. I let my children take riding lessons last year and I really liked it. I prepared the horse and ran along side to make sure that my then four-year-old daughter did not fall off. (These were small horses for children.) There seems to be a long tradition with riding that lives in all of these items made out of leather and metal, boots, tack...
Best wishes

I can imagine that it ttakes a lot of preparation and care, especially the horses. Happy weekend

I'll probably have to take like 10mins simply putting on those boots! :P
