We have had some rain and thunder storms this week they are quite the event here in TX. They are BIG, loud and can be dangerous, like most of TX, but I love it!!
1.I love the clouds changes will it rain or not?
2.Oh yes, I love the anticipation of a big storm.
3.It will help heal the earth of the punishing affects of the TX sun.
4.It replenishes our small streams and lakes.
5.Driving is not fun.
6.And everything is muted and grey.
7. So it gives a good excuse to stay inside and read a fun book.
Then comes the beauty after.
8. The beauty and AWE of rainbows.
9.The showcasing droplets on our plantings.
10.The mud that can be fun.
11.The nourishment to life--water for the plants and beauty for the soul.
12.The beauty of it moving out ...
13...is just as beautiful as it moving in. We need it- it comes wet, loud and the earth is clean and refreshed, - it leeaves. I am grateful, I love rain.
when it freezes(so rarely here) I love it too.

Marcia, I agree with you that on a rainy day, the best is to hibernate at home in bed with a good book :)
you sure know how to do a rainy day
I like storms too and I love the sequence of shots you have for the theme. Happy weekend.
I love rainy days! The dew we have had here in Texas have been quite interesting as you said!
Great photos!! Happy Saturday!
I do love the rainbow shot! Great job on this post. You filled us with water didn'tcha?!
I wish for rain! I pray for rain! It's so hot at my side!
Such wonderful photos for the theme! Thanks for stopping by my blog. The waterfall picture on my blog is from Hamilton Pool, hill country not far outside of Austin, but also not far from Wimberley and San Marcos.
great catch for this week theme, thanks for dropping by. Happy weekend!
Storms are great... so long as you are on the inside looking out at them! You really have put together a marvellous selection of photos for this week's thme. Have a great weekend
Great photos. The sky can dramatically change its temperament. Beautiful shot of that glimpse of rainbow among the clouds.
Lovely shots! I love 6. Is it photoshopped or just naturally muted?
Loved the storm shots! Great idea for the theme :)
My entry is here
Thanks so much for stopping by! And have a great weekend!
Great Photos Marcia! Loved them all!
wow! you covered pretty much everything!nicely done! mine's up at this link!
Well done! That's a great description of the importance of rain. We get a lot here. Ireland is called the Emerald Isle because of the bogs and the plentiful grass, and the rain keeps things green and lovely.
I love your photos and the different ways we can interpret how useful and helpful rains are.
Rainy days are fun but not when storm comes. We have a storm ravaging the country right now and there have been a lot of casualties from rising flood water and landslide. We are anticipating the rains in a few hours time. Sigh.
that is a wonderful display of photos and I really enjoyed how you tied them all into a rainstorm...very creative....
Ha! Wonderful water cycle photos! Love the rainbow...
Nice array of pix!
I played too :)
That's a great collection of water shots. I especially like the storm pics. Have a lovely weekend!
Fantastic set of photographs. We don't really have storms like this here in Adelaide, but I liked some of the ones that we had in Washington DC and Singapore.
They say they might be some lighting. I sure hope so storms are pretty neat.
Happy Hunting.
Well, marcia, thank you for that photographic trip around the water cycle! Excellent! Like your new header picture!
I love your first shot on the sky. Simply magnificent!
I love rain too and wind but not storms, since some parts of our country here was badly hit by storm Frank it kills hundreds of people and destroys lots of properties. It made sank a ships with 1000 people on board and only thirty have surfaces as survivors...But your picture are beautifully taken...
