Photo Hunt Water there are so many for this subject but I did this one last year and I still like it

We have had some rain and thunder storms this week they are quite the event here in TX. They are BIG, loud and can be dangerous, like most of TX, but I love it!!
1.I love the clouds changes will it rain or not?

2.Oh yes, I love the anticipation of a big storm.

3.It will help heal the earth of the punishing affects of the TX sun.

4.It replenishes our small streams and lakes.

5.Driving is not fun.

6.And everything is muted and grey.

7. So it gives a good excuse to stay inside and read a fun book.

Then comes the beauty after.
8. The beauty and AWE of rainbows.

9.The showcasing droplets on our plantings.

10.The mud that can be fun.

11.The nourishment to life--water for the plants and beauty for the soul.

12.The beauty of it moving out ...

13...is just as beautiful as it moving in. We need it- it comes wet, loud and the earth is clean and refreshed, - it leeaves. I am grateful, I love rain.

when it freezes(so rarely here) I love it too.

Marcia, I agree with you that on a rainy day, the best is to hibernate at home in bed with a good book :)

Such wonderful photos for the theme! Thanks for stopping by my blog. The waterfall picture on my blog is from Hamilton Pool, hill country not far outside of Austin, but also not far from Wimberley and San Marcos.

Great photos. The sky can dramatically change its temperament. Beautiful shot of that glimpse of rainbow among the clouds.

Lovely shots! I love 6. Is it photoshopped or just naturally muted?

Well done! That's a great description of the importance of rain. We get a lot here. Ireland is called the Emerald Isle because of the bogs and the plentiful grass, and the rain keeps things green and lovely.

I love your photos and the different ways we can interpret how useful and helpful rains are.

Rainy days are fun but not when storm comes. We have a storm ravaging the country right now and there have been a lot of casualties from rising flood water and landslide. We are anticipating the rains in a few hours time. Sigh.

Fantastic set of photographs. We don't really have storms like this here in Adelaide, but I liked some of the ones that we had in Washington DC and Singapore.

Happy Hunting.

I love rain too and wind but not storms, since some parts of our country here was badly hit by storm Frank it kills hundreds of people and destroys lots of properties. It made sank a ships with 1000 people on board and only thirty have surfaces as survivors...But your picture are beautifully taken...
