My World

I actually can say I love living in Ft Worth Texas! Before 15 years ago ? Not so much.I have lived here 25 years so it took me 10 years but I am sold and staying put:).We have beautiful scenery but the people in Texas are what make it a wonderful place to live.

I have never been anywhere that the people are so friendly and kind it is also contagious.
Hearing the endearments: sweetie, honey and Bless your heart used to be so foreign to me. Now it is part of my everyday language. If Ya'll are looking for a great place to live ...
We have lots of these

and these

But we also have friendly big businesses w/ no state tax

and many lovely cultural events

Come on down. !

our state flower the blue bonnet

Wonderful! I must say, that I was sold much faster on Texas, when I lived and worked there for a year!
Still love it - love Florida only a hair more! :)
Wonderful images and exactly what MyWorld is about!
Thank you for sharing and Cheers, Klaus

P.S.: Please note for future MyWorld posts, to enter name and country in Mr. Linky, which seems appropriate for a "World" Meme!

I am from the south originally and tend to use the honey and sweetie so I definitely understand that. And I love it when I call a business and I hear that southern drawl--I know it is 99% if the time going to be a good call!

Look at those longhorns. Is that the facade shown on Walker, Texas Ranger?

I do like how you've presented your world very much. Those long horn cattle are very impressive, and the state flower is gorgeous! A friendly place.

Beautiful shots Marcia. I've never been to Texas which seem odd as I know quite a few people who have moved there. I always enjoy your photographs from your part of the world.

You know th eold saying about marriage: The first ten years are the hardest, after that it aint easier, but you're used to it.
My bro-in -law goes to concerts in Fort Worth so I'd seen pics of the conccert hall before. I fully agree with you about the natives, they are frieandly, helpful and at times hospitable to excess.

Hope you'll show us many more reasons to love your world. Those, (like your frontdoor)are a wonderful invitation to "enter". Specially, your words.
In the South of France, people are also very warm and excessive, somehow, in their words. That's the reason why, I undertsand what you mean.

Ten years, eh... sounds like it was well worth the wait. I understand, though... takes me a while to warm up to new environments.

Love the shots!

I agree about everything you said about texas. I love living here. The worst part is how far the south is from the north!

I sure miss home. The Bass Hall is incredible. My favorite parts are the floors and mural on the ceiling.

What a great initial post for the MyWorld meme. Bluebonnets, longhorns and horses -- classic Texas! I guess if I'm going to join in on this meme, I'll have to go shoot some of the local oil wells down here in the Houston area. ;)

I look forward to seeing more about your neck o' the woods.
